Paul MarshAfter graduating in English from Cambridge and in German from the University of Göttingen, Paul joined Anthony Sheil Associates Ltd. in 1977 and was promoted to Foreign Rights Director in 1979. At the end of 1993 he established The Marsh Agency with his wife, Susie Nicklin. As MD of the group he is responsible for business development and management strategy. As a primary agent he is interested in serious non-fiction, literary fiction, and crime writing. Internationally he is particularly involved with the German, French, Dutch, Italian and Japanese markets and is looking to introduce more Japanese writers to the West. He has served as Treasurer of the Association of Authors’ Agents and is on the advisory committee of the Rights Centre at the London Book Fair. He is fluent in German and French. |
